The wilderness forces us to be mindful... In today's world we are always onto the next thing, looking for greener grass or generally distracted by something or another. This is what I love most about being a wilderness instructor.. getting to take people from all over the world out of their regular routine and show them something that I LOVE, an adventure.
Over the last decade of guiding and instructing, I’ve had some of the most epic backyards on planet earth. Never was I taught how to be a business man, I was taught how to be an artist. My supportive art teacher parents encouraged me to look at the world through a creative lens and find beauty wherever I was planted.
This career has taken me to places I never imagined and taught me countless lessons about life. I’ve been able to sharpen my skills and make lifelong connections while embracing the ups and downs. I can only hope this effort has inspired someone, somewhere, about something.
For anyone who’s known me a long time I used to have a website several years ago… It was a mess and I never really used it so I made a new one! This time I focused on my favorite prints and hopefully it’s a little easier to navigate as well (let me know what you think).
My photographs are only a tiny snippet of what I’ve seen out there… Thank you to anyone who’s ever supported me!
Make it a great day,
-GS
